Registration for CIES 2021 will open in mid-December 2020. (An announcement will be made at that time, with a link.) Early bird rates will be available until January 31, 2021, with regular rates on and after February 1, 2021. Registration is required for all presenters and attendees. CIES membership is required for all presenters.

CIES 2021 will be 100% virtual due to the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, offering a variety of ways to engage in sessions, including mostly hybrid and livestreamed sessions. The registration rates are designed to cover costs of setting up a full conference experience for participants; as such, they are lower than they would have been for an on-site conference. Zoom sessions will be monitored to avoid security and technical challenges. Registration is required to gain access to sessions. CIES 2021 will also have book exhibits, coffee breaks, the usual business meetings, institutional receptions, the annual Film Festivalette, and other events, creating a full conference experience.

Pre-conference Workshops will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021. They are intended to offer a space for conference attendees to engage with experts on important issues and questions related to research, policy, and practice in comparative and international education. Capacity is limited and registration is required. The registration fee for pre-conference workshops is $55 USD for the entire day; attendees can participate in two separate 3-hour workshops (Morning & Afternoon Sessions) or one extended 6-hour workshop (Whole-Day Session). Workshop descriptions and organizers will be posted online before registration opens.

Cancellation requests must be made in writing no later than March 24, 2021, to be eligible for a refund.
